You'll receive personalized support as we complete your IMPACT setup, walk through your Medicaid application step by step, and teach you the fundamentals of Medicaid billing so you're prepared to begin serving clients once you're approved.

This is more than a class—it's a guided implementation experience designed to help you confidently navigate the credentialing process from start to finish. Please note that while you'll receive comprehensive education and application support, final approval is determined by the State of Illinois and cannot be guaranteed.

The Illinois Medicaid Credentialing & Billing Cohort

Duration: Approximately 8 weeks (depending on State of Illinois Medicaid approval timelines)

Week 1: Individual Virtual Onboarding

One-on-One Session

  • Create and set up your IMPACT account

  • Verify required documentation

  • Prepare for the credentialing process

  • Review the cohort roadmap and expectations

Week 2: In-Person Group Session

Completing Your IMPACT Application

  • Step-by-step completion of the Illinois IMPACT application

  • Review common application errors that delay approval

  • Submit your application with confidence

  • Live Q&A

Week 3: In-Person Group Session

Medicaid Compliance Essentials: IAM+CANS

  • Understanding IAM+CANS and when it's required

  • Documentation and compliance expectations

  • Best practices for maintaining Medicaid compliance

Week 4: In-Person Group Session

Medicaid Billing & Practice Setup

  • Selecting and setting up billing software

  • Medicaid billing fundamentals

  • Submitting claims

  • Understanding remittance advice and payments

  • Common billing mistakes and how to avoid them

Individual Virtual Session (Scheduled Upon Medicaid Approval)

Managed Care Organization (MCO) Enrollment
As each participant receives Medicaid approval, we'll schedule an individual virtual session to:

  • Complete enrollment with Illinois Managed Care Organizations (MCOs)

  • Review required applications

  • Discuss next steps for joining provider panels

  • Prepare to begin accepting Medicaid members

Included in the Cohort

  • One individual IMPACT onboarding session

  • Three in-person group training sessions

  • One individual MCO enrollment session after Medicaid approval

  • Step-by-step guidance throughout the credentialing process
